Understanding Tunein’s user base was key in understanding the brand direction. Their users are primarily 16 - 30 yrs. of age, so we wanted the rebrand to resonate with this demographic. The space theme relates with music because music has the ability to transport you to other realms. It helps you forget your problems, feel happy, and transforms you. We wanted to replicate those feelings with the new brand. It was also essential to have a consistent experience across all platforms. Therefore the Tunein’s mobile experience needed to reflect the design brief with the restrictions of the mobile platform.
